"One for Me" Mentoring Program
The goal of the mentoring program is to provide an extensive network of community members who will provide guidance, life skills, career opportunities, academic tutoring, positive support and advocacy for youth.
The program pairs youth with adults from the community who are willing to commit to serve as positive role models. Mentors are especially valuable to those who benefit from a non-judgemental supporter who has no authoritative role in the youth's life. As a mentor, you are asked to make a minimum commitment of three hours per week. You and your mentee will decide together how to spend your time. Some suggestions are to go to the park, the movies, special events in the community, or just hang out together.
