The Children's Shelter is a 16 bed, temporary home to approximately 150 children each year.  Over 5,000 children and youth have found a safe structured and supportive living environment.

Each child is treated with dignity and respect and is shown that  all children are lovable and that there are grown-ups that can be trusted.  They are cared for  until it is safe for them to return home or until permanent living arrangements can be made.

Referrals come from the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, local law enforcement and the children themselves.

 Each child is provided with the following:

Psychological/Social, Medical, Dental Evaluations

Level of Care & Educational Assessments

Drug and Alcohol Assessments

Common Application

Public Education or GED Classes

Individual Counseling

Life & Social Skills Training

Group Counseling
