One of our recent ex-residents called this morning to let us know that she passed her certification exam for her chosen profession! We are so proud of her.

     A young woman who was in our shelter approximately 15 years ago, came to visit not long ago bringing with her donations and good news. She is a professional with 2 beautiful children who wants to help us raise funds for our kids.

     In today's mail we received a check with a volunteer application and a request to do something special for our kids on a monthly basis. There are some truly amazing people in this world, aren't there?

Every child who stays with us in the shelter knows that he/she is one of our kids and always will be. Many keep in contact with us and many have received our help in gaining their independence.
